Holly Negley
Web and Graphic Designer

When I went to college, I didn’t really know what I wanted to do. I started out as a Dietetics major but quickly changed to Advertising after one semester (because of an aptitude test). About a year into my new degree, I realized that I really loved my design classes, so I dove into the Adobe suite and picked up some real design gigs. I started making show posters for the UF Theatre and Dance department. I made a celebration of life program for a professor from Ghana, Africa (my programs went overseas!). And, I made my first web portfolio (it was awful, but a worthy first attempt).

When I finally came to my senior year, I realized that finding a job as a designer might be hard, considering my degree only had a few design courses. So, after I graduated, I went to graduate school and got a Master’s in Mass Communication: Web Design & Online Communication. I graduated in December, 2015.

During my master’s program, I landed my first design job at an agency in Ocala, FL called Kwikturn Media. They gave me my first professional experience as a Graphic and Web Designer. I worked for them for 1.5 years.

Recently, I packed my bags and moved to Denver in Colorful Colorado. I am currently freelancing and looking for the perfect environment to thrive and learn in.
